Making Adjustments to Profitability Analysis

Tasks

You can use the transactions for this role to adjust data resulting from the integrated flow of values into Profitability Analysis. Adjustments can be particularly necessary if accounting documents, for example, have been assigned to the wrong profitability segment, or if - at the end of the period - you need to revaluate the values determined for costing-based Profitability Analysis.

Activities in Profitability Analysis

Line item entry for profitability segments as well as reposting documents assigned to profitability segments

Distributing high-level values (such as values at the customer group level) to a lower level (such as the customer level) using top-down distribution.

Revaluating anticipated values at the end of the period (periodic valuation)

Adjusting Profitability Analysis to reflect changes (such as assigning a customer to a different customer group), including historical data (realignments)
