Assign Messages

Here you assign all system messages that belong together to the same area of responsibility . When you display a log in the appplication, you can sort the messages by area of responsibility and send them to the people responsible.

You can assign system messages to two further user-defined groups and sort the error log according to these groups. Here, you can categorize messages according to further criteria such as how urgent they are.

Standard settings

In the standard system, the most important system messages from product costing are assigned to the appropriate area of responsibility.

Note

You can assign further messages in the error log to an area of responsibility.

The work area in error management corresponds to the message class.

Actions

1. Enter the work area and the message number.

This is how you identify the message displayed in the error log.

2. Assign the message to the appropriate area of responsibility.

3. If you require additional selection criteria, enter up to two suitable keys as a grouping term.
