Error Management

Message logs are used in costing, production planning and cost accounting to enable you to display the system messages issued when a function is carried out. The messages are logged and sorted according to various criteria.

With the

cost estimate with quantity structure, you can send particular messages to the employees responsible for correcting them.

The following parameters are defined for error management:

Example

In error management, the system creates a log when a standard cost estimate is created. The cost estimate is faulty because of errors in the BOM and in the routing for the material.

You assign the messages for the BOM to the engineering department and the messages for the routing to the work scheduling department.

You then use output control to send messages regarding the errors to the responsible persons in those departments.
