You can send colleagues documents, for example, for viewing. Thus, you send a note with a link to your document as an attachment. Besides the link, you can add further attachments to the note.

Choose System ® Workflow ® Send object with note.

The recipients receive the document in their inbox. By double-clicking you go to the default method of the object. That can, for example, be the display method.
