The system requests the entries required (for example, no entries for the depreciation area - these values are not posted automatically to the general ledger per valuation definition).
The existence of the accounts is only checked for the chart of accounts, not for the company code.
SAP provides sample account determinations with the standard system. These account determinations refer to the standard charts of accounts for Financial Accounting.
If you enter accounts for gains and losses for this depreciation area, the system does not post revenue from writing off reserves for special depreciation. Instead, the system includes the revenue from writing off reserves for special depreciation which arises on the sale of an asset in the calculation of the gain or loss. The system balances the commercial loss with an offsetting posting, and posts the total/ difference from the revenue from writing off reserves for special depreciation and from the commercial loss, to these accounts.
