Description

This parameter defines the level of details recorded in the log files.

Main values available (*):

  • INFORM
  • DEBUG (**)

(*) Other values are possible (TRACE, WARN, SECURITY, FAILURE, FATAL).

(**) Caution: Once set to DEBUG log level (without specified domain), the system produces a high stream of several MB per minute (about 20MB).

Special value: DEBUG

  • The DEBUG level is reserved to code inspection and bug hunting. In addition, this specific level can be combined to a domain name to focus on a specific feature and to limit the quantity of generated logs. The available domains are:
    • ALL : all domains
    • NET : BARBUS network protocol
    • SQL : SQL requests
    • HB : HA heartbeat protocol
    • AK : HA auto-kill mechanism
    • TEST : assertion testing
    • CACHE : cache behavior
    • LOCK : resources locking mechanism
    • RERATING : rerating mechanism
    • JOB : jobs
    • NOTIF, NOTIF_STOR, NOTIF_PUBL : notifications
    • ACCOUNT : business operations on subscriber accounts
    • HTTP : HTTP connections
    • TAX : tax framework
    • CLIENT_EVENT : client related events
    • OPERATION : stateful rate operations
  • Examples:
    • DEBUG+SQL prints all debug traces concerning the SQL requests sent to the database.
    • DEBUG+NET+CACHE displays the debug traces concerning the network and the cache management.
    • DEBUG+ALL-NET displays all debug traces except the traces concerning the network.
    • DEBUG without any domain name display all debug traces which cannot be attached to a specific domain.
