Deleting Data

Follow the procedure described below to delete data from SAP Asset Intelligence Network and asset central foundation.

Overview
Deleting data as part of offboarding strategy to terminate from SAP Asset Intelligence Network involves the following steps:

  • Access the SAP BTP subaccount.

  • Collect all data that is stored within the scope of the tenant that is assigned to your onboarding.

  • Verify that all data you want to use is exported.

  • Follow the steps below, to delete data from asset central foundation and SAP Asset Intelligence Network:

Procedure
For deleting data, we recommend the following approach:

  • Ensure that the data is already exported and validated so that you can reimport them into a different environment.

  • Set up a program that you can use to access the service APIs of SAP Asset Intelligence Network.

  • Call up the collective GET request of the corresponding service (for example, the service methods in the API reference document, titled Viewing Items of Equipment Based on the Filter

  • Deletion of a background program deletes all the data from the asset central foundation by the customer on tenant after the retention timeframe is completed, if the data is shared, then the data is retained.
