Activating and Deactivating Enhancements for Test Purposes

Configuration enhancements are a very powerful tool for adapting existing configurations to your requirements. For test purposes it is very useful to check whether any problems occurred already in the configuration or first in the enhancement. You can use tool WD_ANALYZE_CONFIG_COMP (Analyze Component Configuration) to activate and deactivate configuration enhancements.

Prerequisites

You have authorization S_DEVELOP.

Context

Proceed as follows to activate or deactivate enhancements:

Procedure

  1. Open tool WD_ANALYZE_CONFIG_COMP (Analyze Component Configuration), and select the configurations for which you want to activate or deactivate enhancements.
  2. In the popin of the selected configuration, use the checkbox to select the relevant enhancements.
  3. Start your Web Dynpro application with URL parameter wd-config-excl-enh=X.

    The application is now running without the enhancements that you hid.

  4. To activate the enhancements again, in the Analyze Component Configuration tool, choose Display All Enhancements, or deselect the checkbox for the relevant enhancement.
