Copying an Entire Launchpad

Procedure

You can copy an entire launchpad using the following method:

To copy an entire launchpad, proceed as follows:

  1. On the SAP Easy Access screen, enter the transaction LPD_CUST in the command field.

  2. On the menu bar of the Overview of Launchpads screen, choose Start of the navigation pathLaunchpad Next navigation step Read from other system by RFCEnd of the navigation path.

  3. In the RFC Destination dialog box, enter an RFC destination and choose Continue.

    This displays a list of launchpads in the target system and client. If you leave RFC-Destination empty, the system provides you with a list of all launchpads in your current system and client.

    Note that the RFC destination must be defined in transaction SM59 as connection type 3 ( ABAP Connection).

  4. Choose the launchpad that you want to copy and choose Continue.

  5. In the dialog box that appears, enter another role and/or instance, and choose Continue.

    The new copy appears in alphabetical order on the Overview of Launchpads screen.
