Advance Maturity

Use

It is possible to bring forward or advance the maturity date of a transaction if this has been previously agreed upon with your contract partner.

Note Note

It is also possible to advance the maturity of only part of the transaction.

Activities

  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Derivatives Next navigation step Trading/Back Office Processing Next navigation step Edit Financial Transaction. End of the navigation path

  2. Enter the transaction.

  3. Choose Advance Maturity .

    • The End of Term field is ready for input. Enter the new end of term.

    • Enter the position date.

    • Update the forward price.

  4. Save your entries.

    The system creates the new Advance Maturity activity category. The previous activity is changed from 0 active to 2 replaced .

    All the flows are copied to the new activity.

    A new flow (1050/1051) is created and the old main flow is set to 0 in the unit-of-production method of depreciation.

    Dividend Plan

    Dividends that are no longer scheduled within the term are assigned the status Inactive .

  5. The advanced maturity transaction still needs to be settled.
