Maternity Leave

Payment of maternity leave is calculated in the same way as the payment for non-industrial illnesses and accidents . The sole difference is that the average used corresponds to 3 months.

No deductions are made to calculate the maternity leave.

The payment of maternity leave is made through the company according to the Family Allowances Single System (SUAF).

Maternity leaves are entered in the system through infotype Maternity (0080). The field Actual birth date of this infotype must contain the same date as the final validity date of infotype Family/Related Person (0021); subtype Prenatal. The field Notification Date Appropriate Authority must contain the date the employee delivered the birth certificate. This is relevant for the children family allowance and the continuation of the maternity leave payment.
