Simulating a Validation/Substitution/Rule

  1. Display the validation/substitution/rule that you want to check.

  2. Position your cursor on the validation/substitution step or rule that you want to check.

  3. Choose Start of the navigation path <Validation/Substitution/Rule> Next navigation step Simulate. End of the navigation path

  4. The Data Entry for Validation/Substitution/Rule screen appears, listing the fields defined in the validation/substitution/rule that you want to simulate.

    You cannot use the Simulate function for matrix validations and substitutions.

  5. Enter the values that you want to check against the validation/substitution/rule and choose Execute.

  6. The Results of Validation/Substitution/Rule: <Validation/Substitution/Rule> screen appears, listing the results of the check of the entered data against the validation/substitution/rule.

  7. To exit the screen, choose Start of the navigation path Data Next navigation step Exit. End of the navigation path
