Apply Actions to Whole Dataset

After performing a set of actions on a sample of data from SAP Data Hub, you can apply the set of actions to the whole dataset.

Once a sample set of data has been imported into an SAP Agile Data Preparation worksheet, users can perform actions on the worksheet. These actions are stored in the Action History. After performing the desired actions to the sample dataset, the list of actions can be sent to SAP Data Hub to be applied to the full data set using a flowgraph task execution.

The following actions are supported on a dataset from SAP Data Hub:

  • Change Case

  • Fill Values

  • Merge/Append Worksheets

  • Replace Values

  • Trim Values

  • Add Formula Column (partially supported)

  • Combine Columns

  • Split Column

  • Duplicate

  • Rename

  • Remove

  • Convert to Date

  • Convert to Text

  • Convert to Number

  • Harmonize Values

  1. Under Actions in the right panel, select Apply Actions to Whole Dataset.
  2. Enter the path of the output folder in SAP Data Hub.
  3. Select Run.

    A new worksheet containing the sample of the whole dataset is created with a clean action history.
