Export Rules
Export worksheet rules or rules on domains to a rule collection so that they can be stored in a central repository or saved in an external file.
If you create a rule that applies to a particular worksheet or domain, you can export it to save it in a file or apply it to other worksheets or domains.
Follow these steps to export a rule:

Navigate to the rules you want to export.
- For worksheet rules, click the Rules icon in the upper left-hand corner of your worksheet.
- For domain rules, click the Rules icon in the Domains tab.

Select the Export Rules icon in the lower right-hand side of the
listed rules.
The Export Rules dialog opens.

To export rule(s) to a .json file:
- In the Destination field, choose to export the rule(s) to a File.
- Enter a Name for the file.
- Under Rules, select the rule(s) you wish to export.

To export rule(s) to a new rule collection:
- In the Destination field, choose to export the rule(s) to a New Rule Collection.
- Enter a Name for the rule collection.
- (Optional) Enter a Description for the rule collection.

Choose the share settings for the new rule collection.

Read-only - Indicates which users and groups can view the rule collection.

Full access - Indicates which users and groups can view and edit the rule collection.

- Under Rules, select the rule(s) you wish to export.

To export rule(s) to an existing rule collection:
- In the Destination field, choose to export the rule(s) to an Existing Rule Collection.
- Under Name, choose the rule collection to which you want to add the rule(s).

If duplicate rules exist between the rules you are exporting and the
existing rule collection, choose which Conflict
Strategy to use. You can choose one of two
options.

Replace All Rules - All existing rules are removed and replaced with the exported rules.

Merge Rules - Existing rules are kept, but any exported rules with the same name as an existing rule are replaced with the newly exported rule.

- Under Rules, select the rule(s) you wish to export.
- Click Export.
