Cleanse Worksheet

When you cleanse a worksheet, you can change the default cleanse settings and output column names.

  1. Click Cleanse Worksheet.
  2. (Optional) Clear the check box for any entity you do not want to cleanse. By default, all cleanse entities are selected.
  3. (Optional) Click Change Defaults to change the following settings.

    For each entity, you can change any of the following relevant settings:
    • Casing

    • Diacritics

    • Format

    .

    For example, for the Person entity, you can choose not to include the diacritic marks (such as accents or tilde) in the name.

    Cleanse Outputs

    For each entity, you can deselect any output column you do not want to appear in your cleansed worksheet.

    For example, for the Address entity, you can choose not to include the following output column:

    Region (Expanded) (STD_ADDR_REGION_FULL)

  4. Click Cleanse.

    The application cleanses the data by validating, correcting, standardizing and formatting address and person data, When the cleanse completes, the Data Quality Statistics screen appears and cleanse results appear on the worksheet.
