Finding and Correcting Syntax Errors

Prerequisites

When you try to generate the conversion program or perform a syntax check, the system issues a message stating that there is a syntax error.

Procedure


  1. Choose Continue in the dialog box where the error is reported. The editor appears.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation pathProgram Next navigation step Check Next navigation step Current ProgramEnd of the navigation path. The system displays and localizes the error.

  3. Choose Back. The Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules screen appears again.

  4. Correct the error in the field assignments.

  5. Choose Save.

  6. If you received the error message while generating the conversion program, carry out this step once again. If you received the error message during a syntax check, you can perform this check once again.
