Starting Direct Input Sessions

Use

Depending on the object type, the standard direct input program associated with the object is either called directly, or you have the option of selecting between direct input program and direct input transaction.

Prerequisites

• You have selected an object type (e.g. material master) the import method of which is linked to a direct input.

• In first step Maintain Object Attributes under Object Type and Import Technique, you have set the Standard Batch/Direct Input or Batch Input Recording indicator.

• The data has been specified.

Procedure

From the list of steps, choose Start Direct Input Session. A dialog box appears.

Result

The data is read.
