Handling POS IDocs

Use

You want to use POS (Point of Sale) IDocs in a retail system.

POS IDocs are IDocs for which data also has to be transferred to the control record ( EDI_DC40) from the source file.

In this case (in the step Maintain Structure Relationships), the control record EDI_DC40 must be available as a target structure.

Procedure

1. Select the Maintain Object Attributes step:

   Set the flag Allow Structure Assignment for EDIDC40.

2. Choose the step Structure Relations.

   Assign a source structure to the target structure EDI_DC40.

3. Choose the step Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules:

   EDI_DC40 is available as a target structure, including processing times.

There are no changes made in any of the other steps.
