Migration¶
SAP Mobile Cards supports migration from the Neo to Cloud Foundry environment, and from one data center to another in the Cloud Foundry environment.
The following can be migrated:
- Cards in development and backup status, including their resources.
- Configuration such as:
- Gatekeeper configuration
- Card themes, including custom theme resources
- Development team
- Maximum Automatic Instances
- Disable business data via push notification
- User's card subscriptions
Note
Mobile destinations cannot be migrated, they need to be created in the target account.

Migration Process¶
Note
During import, SAP Mobile Cards account data in the target account is deleted. Information lost cannot be retrieved. To retrieve data, you should first export data in the target account

Export the source account data.
In the Mobile Service Cockpit, navigate to Applications > SAP Mobile Cards > Configuration.
To download the account data, click Export the entire System.
The exported account data is encrypted and stored on your local machine. -
Create mobile destinations in the target account.
In the Mobile Service Cockpit, navigate to Applications > SAP Mobile Cards > Features > Mobile Connectivity. Create all the destinations used in the source system. -
Import the account data from the target system.
In the Mobile Service Cockpit, navigate to Applications > SAP Mobile Cards > Configuration.
Click Import an entire System, and select the exported account data from your local machine.
Confirm that all SAP Mobile Cards specific data is overridden. A list of missing destinations is displayed after import. -
Create the missing Destinations.
Refer to Step 2 to create the missing destinations. -
Check and adjust feature configuration.
The account data export does not include feature configurations like Mobile Setting Exchange, Push Notifications etc. Please check the configuration of the target account and modify it if needed. -
Migrate Clients.
In the Mobile Service Cockpit, navigate to Applications > SAP Mobile Cards, and copy the onboarding QR Codes for Android and iOS. Distribute these QR Codes to all account users, and ask them to register the SAP Mobile Cards Client using the new QR code. Alternatively, you can copy the onboarding links too. If both the accounts used the same user ID, the users can see the same deck as before.
