Migration Process

Note

During import, Mobile Cards account data in the target account is deleted. Information lost cannot be retrieved. To retrieve data, you should first export data in the target account

  1. Export the source account data.
In the Mobile Service Cockpit, navigate to Applications > SAP Mobile Cards > Configuration.
    NEO Configuration Tab
To download the account data, click Export the entire System.
The exported account data is encrypted and stored on your local machine.

  2. Create mobile destinations in the target account.
In the Mobile Service Cockpit, navigate to Applications > SAP Mobile Cards > Features > Mobile Connectivity. Create all the destinations used in the source system.

  3. Import the account data from the target system.
In the Mobile Service Cockpit, navigate to Applications > SAP Mobile Cards > Configuration.
    CF Configuration Tab
Click Import an entire System, and select the exported account data from your local machine.
    Confirm Dialog
Confirm that all Mobile Cards specific data is overridden. A list of missing destinations is displayed after import.

  4. Create the missing Destinations.
Refer to Step 2 to create the missing destinations.

  5. Check and adjust feature configuration.
The account data export does not include feature configurations like Mobile Setting Exchange, Push Notifications etc. Please check the configuration of the target account and modify it if needed.

  6. Migrate Clients.
In the Mobile Service Cockpit, navigate to Applications > SAP Mobile Cards, and copy the onboarding QR Codes for Android and iOS. Distribute these QR Codes to all account users, and ask them to register the Mobile Cards Client using the new QR code. Alternatively, you can copy the onboarding links too. If both the accounts used the same user ID, the users can see the same deck as before.
