Preparing Synchronization Runs With this function you can prepare synchronization runs for a selected synchronization process. The preparation includes the following:
Selecting a synchronization process
Assigning control parameters
Selecting selection criteria for the source object
You have carried out Customizing synchronization .
The system transfers the selected synchronization processes into the
Synchronization Process
group box, and the predefined control parameters into the
Control Parameters
group box on the tab page
Processing.
You can also use the following functions:
You can change and complete the predefined control parameters. You can specify the following parameters:
Block size
Queue name
Number of parallel processes in the background
The number of parallel processes in the background can, however, be restricted through system settings.
Background processing
You can define the following selection criteria for the source object in order to restrict the data volume and the number of instances of a source object that can be selected within a synchronization run:
Synchronization scope
You can define the scope for synchronizing the data records of a source object with a target object (for example, if the system should synchronize only the object data, only the relationship data, or both for the selected source object data records).
The synchronization process selected defines which options of the synchronization scope can be selected.
Restricting source object data records at database field-level
You can restrict the number of source objects that you want to synchronize by choosing standard selection criteria.
You can choose whether you want to simulate a synchronization run via a test run. In the case of a test run, the system checks whether all the data can be transferred to the target database without any errors occurring. You can postprocess any errors that occur using the Postprocessing Office. The synchronization process selected defines whether this function can be selected for a synchronization run.
Enter the control parameters and selection criteria that you require on the tab page
