User Management

A standalone PCo that is not integrated with the Digital Manufacturing Cloud does not have its own user management and authorization concept but relies on the user management of the underlying Windows operating system. Changing the configuration of PCo and starting and stopping the agents can only be done by a Windows user who has administrator privileges. A Windows user without administrator privileges can start the PCo Management Console in display mode only and has access to the configuration and the logs. The non-administrator user is not entitled to change the configuration nor start and stop agents.

The authorization management in the Management Console allows you to control access to PCo services from remote computers in a more detailed way. Refer to the documentation for authorization management for more details
