Problem Message Handover

If a PCo problem cannot be resolved, an incident can be submitted to SAP Support using the following OSS components:

Use this component only if you face problems with the new Business Suite Connection (SAP NW RFC).

You can facilitate incident processing by SAP Support by providing them with the following artifacts that help analyzing the issue: Use the menu Start of the navigation pathHelp Next navigation step Get Support from SAPEnd of the navigation path in the Management Console to easily collect these artifacts. If you want to collect them manually, consider the following files:

  • The exported complete PCo configuration as an XML file, or, as an alternative, as a backup file (.pbf). In some cases, the password with which you created the export or backup file is required as well so that the configuration can be examined on SAP’s reference systems. Use a separate communication channel for sending the password to SAP Support, for example, e-mail.

  • The information about the installed PCo version and the operating system environment. This information can be obtained through the menu option Start of the navigation pathHelp Next navigation step System SummaryEnd of the navigation path and saved in a file that can be handed over to support.

  • The installation logs according to SAP Note 2099376 Information published on SAP site in case of installation problems.
