This iView lets the manager display absence data during a given period for the employees in his or her area of responsibility. The system reads the absences from the
Absences
infotype (2001).
The system displays data in a list and in a calendar.
The list provides an overview of all data that exists in the period specified in the user parameters. The list is sorted in such a way that the absence period furthest in the future is displayed first in the list.
The individual absence periods are displayed as links. You can click on a period to access the relevant month in the calendar.
The calendar provides you with a quick overview of an employee’s absences for a two month period. You can scroll to other months in the calendar. The system only displays absences that occur in the period specified in the user parameters.
When you call the application, the absence that is displayed first in the list is highlighted in color in the calendar. After you have selected a different absence, this absence is highlighted instead.
If you only want to display specific absence types in the current list or calendar, you can filter the list.
In Customizing, you can restrict which absence types are output.
This iView is part of the
General Information
page.
Note
All iViews on this page are called by a single Web Dynpro application. In the standard system, they are not standalone applications. This is because the user runs significant parts of the data selection for all iViews on this page centrally, using a master iView. For more information about how you can include such iViews in other places in your portal, see the documentation for the Business Package for Self-Service Administrator .
In the
Employee Search
iView, the manager selects the employees, for whom he or she wants to display data in the
Absence Days
iView.
You can tailor the iView to suit your requirements using system administration, or by using the PCD parameters in the application:

Absence types to display |
In the standard system, the iView displays all of an employee’s absence types. If, however, you only want to display certain absence types in the portal, you can use the SAP enhancement HRWPCABS (
Filtering Absence Records
). This enhancement enables you to restrict the absence types that are displayed to include, for example, those that regularly occur or those that are not subject to data protection rules.
Note
For more information, see the Implementation Guide for
Manager Self-Service (mySAP ERP)
, under
In addition, you can use system administration for the portal to further restrict the filtered set of absence types to display. This enables you, for example, to provide managers with multiple iViews, each for particular absence types (such as an iView for leave, incapacity for work, and special absences).
