Configuration: Business Package for Manager Self-Service

Purpose

You use this process to make the necessary settings to integrate the Business Package for Manager Self-Service (SAP ERP) (abbreviation: "Manager Self-Service" or "MSS") into your portal.

Prerequisites

You have familiarized yourself with the software components required and the implementation strategy. To do this, see the Master Guides and the Installation Guides on SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/instguides

To use all the functions of MSS, you must install the following:

SAP NetWeaver 7.0 with:

Portal ( with Knowledge Management)

Application Server Java (with Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) Engine )

Business Intelligence (with SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI Content Add-On 2 )

Adobe Document Services (ADS) (with Java Connector (JCo) connection to the J2EE Engine and to the ERP system)

Internet Graphics Service (IGS) (with JCo connection to the J2EE Engine)

System Landscape Directory (SLD) (with JCo connection to the J2EE Engine and to the ERP system)

Web Dynpro Development Components:

PCUI_GP

MSS

SAP_PSS

Business Packages:

Business Package for Manager Self-Service (SAP ERP) 1.3

Business Package for Common Parts (SAP ERP) 1.3

Business Package for Project Self-Service (SAP ERP) 1.0

SAP enhancement package 3 for SAP ERP 6.0 with:

Financials Extension (EA-FIN)

Human Capital Management (EA-HR)

The enterprise extension Financials Extension (EA-FIN) must be activated if you want to use the workset Budget with its iViews. Activating EA-FIN is not a prerequisite for using any of the other worksets.

The enterprise extension Human Capital Management (EA-HR) only needs to be activated if you want to use the HR-relevant iViews. Activating EA-HR is not a prerequisite for using any of the other iViews.

Note that if you activate the enterprise extensions, functions in other areas are also added or changed. For additional information, see Financials Extension (EA-FIN) or Human Capital Management .

Note that once you have activated an enterprise extension, it is not possible to deactivate it again. For more information, see Business Functions .

SAP E-Recruiting (ERECRUIT)

SAP Collaboration Projects (cProjects) 4.0

SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM) 5.0

SAP Strategic Enterprise Management (SAP SEM) 6.0

If you do not install cProjects SAP SRM or SAP SEM , you are advised to remove the iViews that are a prerequisite for these components from the role.

Process Flow

You set up the system landscape in the portal (see Setting Up the System Landscape ).

In the portal, you assign the portal roles to users (see Assigning Portal Roles to Users ).

You make the settings as described in Configuring the Internet Graphics Service .

You make the settings as described in Configuring the Adobe Document Services .

You set up the SAP JCo connections (see Setting Up JCo Connections for MSS ).

You make the settings as described in Setting Up the Universal Worklist .

You make the settings for the individual iViews (see the documentation for the relevant iView).
