Features

Managers can use this iView to display training activities that have been booked or attended during a given period by employees in their area of responsibility. Managers can change the period to suit their requirements. They can display all training activities or select a specific delivery method, for example, Web-based training.

The system displays the following data for training activities:

  • Name

  • Delivery Method

  • Period

  • Training Location

    This information is only relevant for classroom training.

  • Fee

  • Status

    • The following statuses exist for classroom training:

      • Booked

      • Canceled

      • Attended

    • The following statuses exist for all other delivery methods:

      • Booked

      • Canceled

      • In Process

      • Attended

        The employee has attended the training activity but has not yet changed the status to complete.

      • Completed

        The employee has attended the training activity and has set the status to complete.

This information comes from the SAP Learning Solution . It is stored in the ERP system in the following infotypes for training (object type E):

  • Description and Fee

    The training activities, their description and attendance fee are stored as relationships between the training and the employee (object type P) in the Relationships (1001) infotype; for example, in the subtypes A025 (relationship Is Attended By ) or B025 ( Attended ).

  • Delivery Method

    Delivery Method (5007) infotype

  • Period

    Schedule (1035) infotype

  • Training Location

    The location (object type F) is linked to the course using the Relationships (1001) infotype, subtype A024 (relationship Takes Place in ).

  • Status

    The status information comes from different sources, for example, the Relationships (1001) infotype (subtypes A0404 (relationship Canceled By ) or B040 (relationship Canceled) ), or the workflow.

    All iViews on this page are called by a single Web Dynpro application. In the standard system they are not standalone applications, as users run significant parts of the data selection for all iViews on this page centrally, using a master iView.   • In the Employee Search iView, managers select the employees for whom they want to display data in the Training Activities iView.

  • The description of the training activity is stored with a hyperlink to the Training Events: Details iView.

Prerequisites

  • The general prerequisites for the business package are fulfilled.

  • In the ERP system, data is stored in the previously mentioned infotypes.
