Object documentationTask Template

A task template is used as a template for a task. It can be contained in several situation and profile templates.

A task template becomes a definite task when you assign a situation template, which contains this task template, to a patient.

There are several components of a task template, including:

  • Information text

  • Specifications on name, responsibility, and validity

  • Connection to an info item

  • Connection to a base item

The attributes of the task template determine the properties of the task.

You edit task templates in Template Management. The task template data is distributed over several tab pages.

Structure

Header Data

Here you can edit the name, responsibility, use, validity, contact person and technical properties.

The person group entered as Responsible is displayed in a column of the task list. Possible entries can be connected with authorizations; this means it is possible to control the processing of tasks.

You set the Available in Selection indicator if the task template should be available in the Selection of Task Templates dialog box.

You can flag a task template a Mandatory Task. The task is then given the icon - (-) in the task list. If a required task is not completed, the user cannot close a situation. Mandatory tasks must be explicitly canceled or confirmed.

You use Validity to determine the time period in which task templates can be assigned. If a situation template, which contains invalid task templates, is assigned to a patient, the system does not take into account the invalid task templates when creating the tasks. You can continue to use a task even if its task template has become invalid.

In the Contact Person area you enter the persons who users of the task template can contact in case of questions or comments. Data entered here appears in the information area of the task list.

In the Technical Properties area the technical key of the task template is displayed in addition to the creation and change dates and users.

Information

Here you can store information which may interest the user of a task template. For example, you can enter concise information about how to use the template.

This text can be displayed both in the Selection of Task Templates dialog and in the task list. You can format the text using SAPscript.

Changing the text of a task template affects existing tasks.

Base Item

The base item determines the documentation object of a task.

Here you can connect the task template with a base item or undo such a connection. This means the user can call system functions directly from the task list.

You can use the customer parameter as part of your projects. You may wish to evaluate it in a BAdI of the base item.

Info Item

The info item entry determines the medical objects displayed in the patient viewer. You can make the following settings:

  • Do not Change

  • Display User-Specifically

  • According to Situation

  • Control Using Separate Info Item

In the Control Using Separate Info Item option, you select an info item from the input help.

Caution Caution

When you change the information displayed, data is read in the patient viewer. In case of large quantities of data, this may result in long system response times. You should therefore select info items with few aspects as often as possible.

End of the caution.
