Performing Mass Changes of the Contractual User Types

Use

As of SAP R/3 4.6C, you can use the measurement program to perform mass changes of user types of a price list. You can use this function to assign a user type to all users that have not yet been classified, and to change the classification of all users of type A to type B. For security reasons, you can only change the user type in the client to which you are logged on.

Prerequisites

You have chosen Start of the navigation pathEnvironment Next navigation step Mass ChangeEnd of the navigation path on the initial screen of the measurement program and the system is displaying the dialog box System Measurement: Mass Change of Users, which offers the following options:

  • Classify unclassified users

  • Change old classification

Procedure

Classifying Unclassified Users

  1. Use the input help to specify the new user type and, if required, the special version or country surcharge.

  2. Choose Execute.

  3. Check the security query, and confirm the mass change.

    The change to the users is confirmed in the status bar.

Changing an Old User Classification

  1. Use the input help to specify the previous and the future user type.

  2. Choose Execute.

  3. Check the security query, and confirm the mass change.

    The change to the users is confirmed in the status bar.
