Importing PAR/EAR Files

Use

You can import a portal application, packaged in a PAR or EAR archive file, to SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio (NWDS), where you modify, package in an EAR file and deploy it.

Procedure

  1. From the File menu, select Import... .

  2. In the Import dialog, expand Start of the navigation pathSAP NetWeaver PortalEnd of the navigation path.

    Choose PAR File or EAR File , as appropriate, and choose Next .

  3. Specify the following properties:

    • Archive File Name: The full path to the PAR/EAR file.

    • Project Name: The name for the project to create from the PAR/EAR file.

    • Project Root Folder: The root folder of the new project

  4. Choose Finish .

Result

A non-DC portal application project is created, containing the files from the archive.
