Deleting an Object or Folder
Use
You can permanently delete objects or folders that are located in the Portal Catalog using the Delete action in the Portal Catalog context menus. If you delete a folder, its contents - including subfolders - are also deleted.
When using the Delete action in a context menu, the Delete wizard first performs a series of verification steps before proceeding. For more information, see Verification Criteria
Procedure
Deleting a Folder or Object in the Portal Catalog
-
In the Portal Catalog, in the context menu of the folder or object that you want to delete, choose Delete . The Delete Wizard appears.
-
If the object that you are deleting is a source object that is referenced by other objects using a delta link, the dependent objects are displayed and you can choose to delete some or all of the dependent objects together with the source object.
-
Complete the wizard. You are notified when the selected objects have been successfully deleted. All remaining objects that were locked by the system as a result of the action are then released.
Deleting an Object Contained in a Parent Object
-
Open the parent object that contains the object that you want to delete. For more information, see Editing Portal Objects
-
In the editor, select the object you want to delete and click Delete .
