Launching the Permission Editor
Use
You can launch the Permission Editor in two ways:

From the default system administrator role supplied by SAP, so that you can set permissions for all PCD objects, folders, security zones, business objects, and applications in the GPAL repositories from a single user interface. This option opens the central Permission Editor.

From the Portal Content Studio, from applications in the GPAL repositories, or other object-specific administration tool, enabling you to set permissions only for objects for which you have owner permission. This option opens the object-specific Permission Editor, which allows administrators to set permissions for specific objects in their particular work area without requiring access to the central Permission Editor.
Procedure
To launch the central Permission Editor:

Locate the folder or object you want to assign or edit permissions for, right-click it and choose
Open Permissions from the context menu.
To launch the object-specific Permission Editor:

In the Portal Catalog or GPAL repository, locate the object, folder or application for which you want to set or edit permissions.

Right-click the object and choose Open from the context menu to launch the desired administration tool or editor available for that object (for example: Properties, Permissions, Object-Based Navigation, Related Links, Dynamic Navigation, Delta Link Tracer).
Links appear across the top of each of the tools or editors for all of them.

Click the Permissions link to open the Permission Editor for the current object.
Result
The Permission Editor displays the currently assigned permissions in the Assigned Permissions area of the editor. To assign or edit permissions, see Setting Permissions in the Permission Editor .
