Releasing Objects in PCD Cache

Context

You can release all objects stored in the PCD (Portal Content Directory) caches:

  • Shared objects cache (xfs.data) : Contains PCD objects that are shared among different portal users, such as roles, pages, and iViews.

  • User objects cache (xfs.user) : Contains objects that store user-specific personalization data. One object exists per user at this caching level.

Use this option for support or for development purposes.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, navigate to Start of the navigation pathSystem Administration Next navigation step Support Next navigation step PCD Tools Next navigation step Cache ReleaseEnd of the navigation path.
  2. Choose Release Cache .

    A confirmation message is displayed at the bottom of the page.
