Displaying Source Systems of SAPterm Components

Context

Use this function to find the system from which SAPterm draws the application component information serving as subject fields for terminology management.

SAPterm requires the technical key (the unique identifier of an application component in an application component hierarchy), the component ID (the abbreviation of the component name), and the full component name for a SAPterm subject field “component”.

Although visually similar to an application component, a SAPterm subject field component has different technical attributes and is used only for terminology management.

Example

The “Basis” application component has the technical key HLB0009009, component ID BC, and component name Basis.

In SAPterm only BC and Basis are visible as subject field for term search, creation, and management. SAPterm administration can view and use technical keys as necessary.
