Locking SAPterm

Purpose

Prevent changes to term entries and definitions in the SAPterm terminology database while allowing term search functions to continue.

Prerequisites

The function is restricted to users with SAPterm administrator authorization.

Procedure

  1. To lock the term database, go to the initial SAPterm screen and choose Start of the navigation pathAdministration Next navigation step Global Settings Next navigation step System Settings Next navigation step Lock Term MaintenanceEnd of the navigation path or Lock Glossary Maintenance.

    Select the respective From Date / From Time and To Date / To Time values and choose Continue to save the settings. Choose Cancel to interrupt the procedure and leave SAPterm unlocked.

    To unlock SAPterm, set all date and time values to 00.00.0000 and 00:00:00 respectively and choose Continue to save the settings.
