SAP's own ILM Store for data retention contains new and changed functions.
Terminology Changes
The name of the application component BC-ILM-STO was changed from ILM Database Store to ILM Store.Availability of the ILM Store Functional Scope
From Release 7.40 SP11, the full functional scope of ILM Store is available. From SP16, functional enhancements in Release 7.31 are no longer supported.
Certification Suite for AS ABAP
With this release the Certification Suite, which was previously only available for the application server JAVA (AS JAVA), is now also available for the application server ABAP (AS ABAP). You can use Certification Suite for AS ABAP to validate and confirm the compatibility of your store with the BC-ILM 3.0 standard. Certification Suite for ABAP provides all functions from the existing JAVA implementation and can be also be used for the ABAP environment.
Certification Suite for AS ABAP consists of a framework and of various sets of test cases that the framework set up, executed, and evaluated. As components of the Certification Suite ABAP, these test cases are used to certify the store service.
Simplified Access to Administrative and Operative Customizing

ArchiveLink Binding to ILM Store
ArchiveLink can now be used together with SAP's own ILM Store. The ArchiveLink binding to the ILM Store can occur in two different scenarios: as a local implementation or as a remote connection.

ILM Store Monitor
You can use ILM Store Monitor to monitor all KPIs relevant for ILM Store. ILM Store Monitor also helps you to configure your data collectors correctly and provides a real time display for the data that is being collected. ILM Store Monitor also offers an external output format by extracting the collected data.
