DBMS User Management for SAP NetWeaver Application Server for ABAP (Changed)

With this release,SAP NetWeaver Application Server for ABAP (SAP NetWeaver AS for ABAP) supports single sign-on (SSO) options for database management system (DBMS) users and the update of e-mail address and validity period.

You can now enable SSO options for DBMS users. The SSO options are as follows:

  • Kerberos
  • SAML
  • X.509
  • Logon ticket
  • Authentication assertion ticket

The report for mass maintenance (report RSUSR_DBMS_USERS) has been enhanced to enable you to transfer the e-mail address and validity period of the ABAP user to the DBMS user. In addition, you can force an update of the DBMS user data, if the DBMS user already has values for these attributes. The report also enables you to enable Kerberos as a logon method and transfer an external ID derived from the SNC name of the ABAP user.
