Release Notes for Unicode Printing

Assigning Unicode Reference Device Types URDT to Output Devices (New)

The assignment of a URDT to an output device defines which languages or fonts can be printed with that output device in addition to the languages supported by the device type.

In combination with the Unicode Printing Environment (UPE) the bandwidth of the possible characters has been enhanced and performance improved at the same time, since only the characters in the datastream that are not contained in the printer's fonts are sent to the printer.
