PSE Protection Using Local Protected Storage (New)

When SAP NetWeaver Application Server (SAP NetWeaver AS) for ABAP starts, the PSE files for the server are read from the database and distributed to the file system of the server instances. Local protected storage (LPS) is available and allows you to protect sensitive information in the PSE files.

The new function List of PSE Files and Their Protection Level is available in the trust manager (transaction STRUST). It lists the server instances with the relevant PSE files of your SAP NetWeaver AS for ABAP. You can easily apply system-wide LPS protection for all your ABAP servers. If required, you can set the protection level of the PSE files for specific server instances or for individual PSE files.
