Data Warehousing Workbench (Enhanced)

A number of changes have been made in the Data Warehousing Workbench:

  • It is now possible to create folders in the favourites tree.

You can create a folder structure for your favourites and drag the objects to the folders. This allows you to organize the objects in your favourites in accordance with your personal preferences.

  • In modeling, a new view has been introduced for the history of actions peformed on BW objects.

In the history, the navigatable actions on objects (display and change for example) are displayed for the current Data Warehousing Workbench session. These actions can be called from the history. This provides you for example with quick access to the maintenance screen for objects that you have already worked on during this session.

  • The object tree can be filtered using various properties.

Using a button in the object tree toolbar, you can filter the tree according to various criteria and set how objects are displayed in the trees in accordance with your personal preferences. You can filter using the object status, text combinations in the technical name or the description of objects, or differences in the object versions. The filter is saved and is applied when the Data Warehousing Workbench is next opened.

  • Objects such as the SAP HANA analysis process or the Open ODS View have been integrated into the object trees and dataflow maintenance in the Data Warehousing Workbench.

SAP HANA analysis processes are displayed in a separate object tree in modeling.
