Data Aging (Changed)

This document provides you with an overview of the changes to Data Aging in SAP NetWeaver 7.40 SP08.

Enhancing Transaction DAGPTM

You use this report to get an overview of existing partitioning objects, partitioning groups, associated tables, and partitioning ranges. It also allows you to create new partitioning ranges for partitioning objects and partitioning groups. For more information about creating partitions, see Creating Partitions.

Stop Functionality of Data Aging Run

You can stop the data aging run by using the Stop Data Aging Run button. The data aging run is stopped after the aging of a specific package has been completed, when the stopping of job was triggered. You can stop only the active data aging run. You can stop only the active data aging run. For more information about stopping data aging runs, see Scheduling Data Aging Runs.

New Roles and Authorization Objects

You can perform tasks based on the assigned roles or authorization objects. Two new Authorization objects are available:
  • S_DAAG
  • S_DAGPTM
Two new roles are available:
  • SAP_DAAG_ADMIN
  • SAP_DAAG_EXPERT

Enhancing Transaction DAGOBJ

The report is enhanced with a new field DAgO Type. You use this field to indicate the type of data aging object. For more information about the types of data aging objects, see Data Aging Objects.
