Portal on Device (New)

Use

With portal on device, you can now access SAP Enterprise Portal from mobile devices, using a mobile Web browser.

Portal on device includes the following features and capabilities:

  • Dedicated framework pages for mobile devices: Smartphone Framework Page and Tablet Framework Page .

  • Launching and displaying items using the Toolbox and Toolbox Extended perspectives:

    • The toolbox is an overlaying list of launchable items, such as Favorites or Contacts, which you open and close using a tab on the left side of the mobile framework page. When the user selects an item in the toolbox, it is launched in the content area of the page. The toolbox can be use on both smartphone and tablet devices.

    • The extended toolbox is a second-level list that opens next to the toolbox. The extended toolbox is used to display toolbox items, instead of displaying them in the content area. The extended toolbox can be used only on tablet devices.

  • Action button that enables you to perform various actions, such as refresh, add to favorites, and log off. You can configure different sets of actions depending on the application that is running.
