Data Transfer Process (Changed)

The following interface changes and user-friendliness enhancements have been introduced in the data transfer process (DTP):

On the Extraction tab page:

  • The Filter and Semantic Groups tabs are now aligned next to the information about the source object.
  • The delta status is not displayed in the header data for the data transfer process any more. It it now displayed on the Extraction tab page instead.
  • The flags that you can use to stipulate how the source request list is filtered, Get All New Data Request by Request for example, are now combined under Request Selection.
  • The source-specific parameters are now displayed in the Parameters of <Type of Source Object> group.
  • The Do Not Extract from PSA, User Direct Access to DataSource (for Small Amounts of Data) flag has been replaced with the Data Extraction dropdown box. This is displayed in the Parameter s of DataSource group.
  • Next to the Packet Size field, there is now an info button that describes the parallelization of the extraction. For delta data transfer processes, the information is displayed both for the delta initialization and for the subsequent data requests.
  • Processing modes with parallel extraction make it possible to use the package size in order to combine multiple source packages from the same source request in a data package of the DTP request. The Optimal Package Type was previously used for these cases. This field does not exist any more. You can now display the information about whether an optimum package size can be used by going to the Packet Size field and pressing F1. If supported, you can set the optimum package size in the Package Size field.

On the Update tab page:

  • The target-specific parameters are now displayed in the Parameters of <Type of Target Object> group.
