ILM Database Store (New)

You can use the ILM database store to store archive files in a SAP database.

This means the complete SAP Information Lifecycle Managements (ILM) process in Retention Management is supported, from archiving to store in the SAP environment and without using an external interface. The ILM database store allows you to optimize your IT infrastructure and reduce the costs for purchasing and maintenance of external WebDAV interfaces and storage media.

If you use SAP BW Near Line Storage (NLS) to store BW data, you can also store your BW data on the same Sybase IQ database and thus save further costs.

The ILM database store currently supports Enterprise Edition of Sybase IQ databases with version 15.4 and upwards. To use these functions, you need the business function ILM Database Store( ILM_STOR).
