Obsolete Functions in the Data Warehousing Workbench (Modified)

In the default setting, all obsolete functions in the Data Warehousing Workbench, which a newer technology is available for, are hidden.

This means that functions in the context menu on the object trees in the Data Warehousing Workbench and in other transactions are not available any more.

There are a number of exceptions where these functions can be shown again in Customizing.

The following objects are affected:

• InfoSpoke
• Update rules
• Transfer rules
• 3.x DataSource
• VirtualProviders based on 3.x InfoSources
• 3.x data archiving
• Ad hoc CompositeProviders in the Data Warehousing Workbench (if using a SAP HANA database)

This is intended to prevent you from creating objects with obsolete functions despite there being a newer function available. We recommend using the new objects, as they provide more functions and better usability.
