Unified Framework Page (New)

Use

SAP Enterprise Portal now comes with the Unified Framework Page , which provides support for applications written in standards mode only.

Standards mode is compliant with CSS2 specifications, in contrast to quirks mode, which supports only parts of the CSS specifications.

The Unified Framework Page is based on the SAPUI5 framework, which is used to build HTML5-based applications.

The Unified Framework Page has a single level of options in the top-level navigation area. Additional navigation levels are available in the detailed navigation area. To the left of the content area, there is a vertical bar with a search icon that opens a search tool, in which you can select a search provider and type search strings. To the right of the content area, there is a vertical menu with the following options: History , Launcher . Selecting each of these options acts as a toggle that opens or closes a vertical pane. In this pane:

  • The History tool provides a list of recently-visited navigation nodes, as well as Back and Forward buttons.

  • The Launcher enables you to search for a navigation node to launch directly in the content area.

In the Framework Page Configuration editor ( Start of the navigation pathContent Administration Next navigation step Portal DisplayEnd of the navigation path), you can configure the framework page, including the tools to display and the title of the page.
