Disabling the SAML Service Provider

Prerequisites

You have ensured that all resources protected by SAML 2.0 have an alternative authentication mechanism.

Context

Use this procedure when you no longer need SAP NetWeaver Application Server (AS) ABAP to protect hosted applications with Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0.

Procedure

  1. Start the SAML 2.0 configuration application (transaction SAML2).
  2. On the Local Provider tab, choose the Disable pushbutton.

    The AS ABAP saves the configuration of the service provider. You can re-enable the service provider at any time.
