Manual Sorting of Orders for Chart Display
You can use the Manual Sorting
function for the chart display to manually sort the orders for each patient. Manual sorting displays all orders which were valid for the patient in the selection period, regardless of their current status or other properties. A manual sorting will remain active for the patient until it is re-sorted or lifted. An active manual sorting overrides the chart layout in which it was created and applies to all users who view the orders of the patient with the same chart layout.

Create and Delete Manual Sorting
Choose 
(Manual Sorting
) to call the Sorting for Chart Display
dialog. The following sorting options are available:
Sorting via Drag & Drop
You can change the sequence of specific, also multiple selected lines via Drag & Drop.
Sorting via following pushbuttons:
(Move Lines: Up
)
(Move Lines: Down
)
(Move Lines: Start
)
(Move Lines: End
)
You can use these icons to move the existing order lines into another sequence.
Select the Order Description column and choose Sort
(Ascending
) or
(Descending
). You can also use these icons to move the existing order lines into another sequence.
Choose 
(Confirm
) to transfer the sorting dialog box with the modified standard display. The system immediately displays the new sort order in the chart. The next time you call the dialog box you can use 
(Delete
) to delete the currently active manual sort order. The system closes the dialog box and the standard setting is used once again.
Note
You should note that the creation oand editing of a manual sort order is available both in the order dialog and in the documentation work station. If new orders are created while a manual sorting is active, these are displayed at the beginning of the list in the chart and in the Manual Sorting
dialog. If orders are ended while a manual sorting is active, these ended orders retain their position.
Deactivating and Activating a Manual Sorting
When the sort dialog is called, the system displays a manual sort order made at an earlier time as "Manual Sorting Active". You can 
(Deactivate
) this manual sort order. The system closes the dialog box and resets the sort order of the chart to the standard display. The manual sorting is retained in the system and can be reactivated, if necessary. Furthermore (Delete
) and (Transfer
) are also available.
Note
If an active manual sorting is deactivated, the system will once again use all standard settings of the layout after closing. If new orders are created while an inactive manual sorting exists, these are displayed at the beginning of the list in the Manual Sorting
dialog.
In order to delete an inactive sort order which has been in the database longer than a specifically definable time period, the report RN1ME_DELETE_MANUAL_SORT "Clear Manual Sorting" is available.
Colored Highlighting of Orders in Manual Sorting
Within the manual sorting dialog you can use the "Color" column to assign the various available colors to different orders. The colors are used in the chart if manual sorting is activated. Choose (Transfer
), in order to confirm the settings of the sorting dialog box.
Note
The selection dialog for an order color in manual sorting only offers the colors classified as medication colors for selection. When you select a color for an order, this is used as the background color of the bar concerned in the chart.
