On the Patient Groups screen, choose Select Admitted Patients ... or Select Discharged Patients… in the dropdown menu.

Depending on your selection, the Admitted Patients or Discharged Patients dialog box appears.

Enter the selection criteria, as required.

To exclude departments and treatment/nursing OU from the patient determination process, enter these under Add Criteria to Be Excluded. To add a row to enter the department or the treatment/nursing OU, choose (Insert New Row).

If you are in the  Edit Patient Groups Discharged Patients dialog box, the Days Back field is available. The system uses this value to select the period for data determination retroactively from the current date.

To clear all entries under Selection Criteria and Add Criteria to Be Excluded, choose New Search.

Choose Find (Execute Search).

The system closes the dialog box and starts data determination.
