Definition of Ranges
You can use ranges to define subsets of a basic catalog and assign these subsets to a departmental or nursing organizational unit (OU). The selection help for a specific OU then only contains the catalog items defined in the range.
Example
With the definition of ranges you can control, for example, that in the nursing process documentation, only the department can access nursing procedures which can only be executed in this department.
Features
You can assign both individual items and group items of a basic catalog to a range. If you wish to add a group item to a range, the range will then also contain all assigned individual items. You can, however, explicitly exclude individual items assigned to this group items.
You can assign a range to several organizational units, but an organizational unit can only be assigned to one range at a time.
Activities
In order to define ranges, branch to the Ranges
drawer in the Edit Basic Catalogs
function in the left-hand screen area. You see all ranges which exist for the selected basic catalog.
