Activities

1. Step: Select or Create and Select Installation Packages

The installation package that you wish to install must first appear as an entry in the Installation Packages area. There are three possible ways this can happen:

  • Import for Transports via BC Set

Select Activate BC Set (Activate BC Set) and enter the name of the BC set. Choose Continue. The BC set is activated, the installation package is created and displayed in the table. Following activation corresponding information is displayed in the Log area. The installation package is imported if the log displays the message “Imported from BC Set”.

  • Upload from File System:

Select Import from File System (Import from File System) and navigate to the storage location of the file. Select the file, and then choose Open. The window closes again and the installation package determined from the file is displayed in the list of installation packages. The system displays the UPLOADED message in the Log area.

  • Display Installation Packages:

Select Load Installation Packages (Load Installation Packages) or Load with Restriction (Load with Restriction), to create a list of existing installation packages. The number of found entries is displayed in the table header. In the Log area one of the following entries appears next to the creation time for each installation package:

    • IMPORTED (when imported via BC sets)

    • UPLOADED (if uploaded from the file system)

    • INSTALLED (if a document category has already been created with the installation package)

    Caution Caution

he loading of installation packages takes some time depending on the number of existing packages, as the system must check all packages to see whether they are PMD installation packages.

    End of the caution.
2. Step: Install Document Categories:

From the list in the Installation Packages area select the desired installation package(s) and then choose Install Document Categories (Install Document Categories). Enter the target client and institution in the dialog which opens. If document categories contain combo boxes and you wish to transfer the supplied combo box values, set the corresponding indicator.

Caution Caution

Note that when you transfer combo box values any existing entries you may have made will be overwritten.

End of the caution.

Choose Continue.

The data is installed. The system displays the INSTALLED message as the result in the Log area.

Note Note

Note that there can be an additional BC set with language-dependent components for installation packages which were supplied via BC set. In order to be able access the contained language components, do not activate the BC set until after the installation of the document category. The creator of the BC set should have informed you of the definite name. As a rule the names should begin with ”ISH_N2_INSTPMD_*_T“.

End of the note.
