Function documentationTransport Orders View Type - Transport Order Overview

The transport order overview is a tool for managing transport orders.

The standard view of the Transport Orders view type (called SAP_PTS) which is delivered, displays all transport orders for the patients selected. In addition to this standard view, you can also define further views which select transport orders according to various criteria and display these in the form desired by the user. You define the views required for the productive use of the transport order overview in the customizing of the clinical work station.

Integration

The field selection of other view types of the clinical work station, for example, the Occupancy view type, contains transport order fields.

Prerequisites

The Transport Orders view type uses the following user parameters to save the view settings described below:

  • WP_VIEW_005: You can use this parameter to control the position of the separator between the first and second view.

    Caution Caution

If the user moves this separator between the first and second view using the mouse, he also changes this parameter.

    End of the caution.
  • WP_VIEW_ID_2_005: You can use this parameter to define the name of the second view.

    Caution Caution

You should not change these two user parameters in the user settings. If you delete the parameters you should reset them to the standard values.

    End of the caution.

Features

In the clinical work station, you can implement the transport order overview as a view type for flexibility reasons and to provide a future-oriented interface. This results in the following advantages:

  • By defining views, you can freely configure the selection and display behavior of the transport order overview, as well as its function selection. Three-dimensional variant logic provides flexibility consisting of selection variants, layouts, and function variants.

  • You define views for the work environment of the user and provide him with specific transport order overviews. The user must then only fill in selection screens if he wishes to change individual selection criteria and is authorized to do so.

    Note Note

The system can simultaneously display two versions of the transport order overview on the screen. One view runs in each of the versions. You can parameterize these views independently of each other.

The user can activate or deactivate the lower view using 2nd View in the pushbutton toolbar of the upper view. 2nd View is called 2nd View as standard. By configuring the function variant, you can override this name with a different name.

All transport order overview views which are defined in the user's work environment, can be used as this second view. If more than two views of the transport order overview type are defined in these work environments, the second view displays a selection list with these views. The user can select the desired view from this menu.

    End of the note.
Selection Screen

As the system administrator you can configure selection variants, which you can use to provide the user with the following selection criteria, based on the Institution und Organizational Uniit (OU) - from which the patient should be collected - on the selection screen:

  • Institution

  • Pick-Up Date

  • Pick-Up Time

  • Transport Category

  • Pick-Up Point OU

  • Drop-Off Point OU

  • Transport Type (multiple selection possible)

  • Status (multiple selection possible)

  • Arrange Further Transports

  • Display Transport Orders Without Patient

  • Manual Selection Entry

    • Goal

The system administrator wishes to define a view that users can use for making their own selections.

    • Method:

If the user selects the pushbutton of a view, the system should not immediately construct the clinical orders, but should first display the selection screen, where the user enters the data for the selection of the transport orders which the view should refer to.

    • Prerequisite

When configuring a view, the system administrator creates a selection variant in which the Man. Entry Sel. indicator is set.

    • System Behavior

When the user calls the view, the selection screen will first appear. The selection data from the selection variant is displayed by default. The user can change the selection data, for example, select a different destination OU for displaying the transport orders. After changing the selection criteria you return to the view. The selections you have just made apply. These selections remain active throughout the session (in other words as long as you remain in the transaction). If you switch to a different view in the meantime, the settings remain in force.

      • Using Basic Settings you can reset the temporary changes for a view.

      • The next time you start the clinical work station, the default selections made by the system administrator for the view apply anew.

Even if the system administrator did not set the Man. Entry Sel. indicator for a view when creating the selection variant, the user can set it himself when executing the Change Selection function.

If the user has set this indicator for a view, the system always displays the selection screen before calling the view. The selection data from the selection variant is displayed by default in this dialog box. The use can modify the selection data. These selections remain active throughout the session (in other words as long as you remain in the transaction). If you switch to a different view in the meantime, the settings remain in force.

However, if you choose Basic Settings or call the clinical work station again, the default view selections made by the system administrator are reapplied and the Man. Entry Sel. indicator is deselected.

    Example Example

Such a record has, for example, the following criteria: All transport orders of the initial transport category, with patients who should be collected today between 8:00 and 14:00 from care unit 17, with the “lying down” transport type.

    End of the example.

    Note Note

The system will take the hierarchy into account for the selection fields Initial OU and Destination OU. This means that if, for example, a service facility is entered, the system will take into account all OUs which are subordinate to the service facility.

    End of the note.

There are also peculiarities in Selection Variant - Nursing Organizational Unit (OU) and Selection Variant - Performing Organizational Unit (OU).

Function Selection

In the function variants you use a function selection as a basis to determine which of the following functions should be available to the user in the pushbutton toolbar of the transport order list:

  • 2. View

  • Create Transport Order

  • Create Transport Order Without Patient

  • Display Transport Order

  • Cancel Transport Order

  • Change Transport Order

  • Customer functions (1 – 5)

Note Note

With the Add-In (BAdI) N1_WP_PTS (method EXIT_FUNCTION) you can replace all function calls within the Transport Orders view type. The method will report whether the function was executed or errors occurred.

End of the note.
Field Selection

The transport order overview (view of the Transport Orders view type) displays one transport order per row. You can use layouts to define the number and sequence of fields to be displayed for each transport order, based on a predefined field selection. In the layout you can also define the fields which the system should use to sort the transport orders. It is possible to sort using all displayed fields.

In the fields selection of the Transport Orders view, the following fields are available:

  • Pick-Up Date

  • Pick-Up Time

  • Patient

  • Transport Category

  • Transport Order Status Text

  • Pick-Up Point OU

  • Pick-Up Room

  • Drop-Off Point OU

  • Drop-Off Room

  • Priority

  • Transport Type

  • Drop-Off Time

  • Drop-Off Date

Note Note

With the Business Add-In (BAdI) N1_WP_PTS (method EXIT_DISPLAY) you can override all fields of the transport order list. You can also fill additional columns.

End of the note.

Example

Examples of possible views are:

  • All transport orders for a patient

  • A list of all patients who should be transported to a service facility today

  • A list of all return transports to a care unit including return times

  • All outstanding transport orders for all patients of a care unit
